Alice Ann Pernsteiner

 

Alice Ann Pernsteiner, 83, of Medford, was found deceased in her home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

 

Alice was born July 12,1942 in Medford to the late Casper and Alice (Annen) Pernsteiner. She was the first child in her family not to be born at home. She was their seventh child. She attended the Little Black School for her first grade and then attended Holy Rosary School for the rest of her elementary education. She graduated from Medford High School.

 

Alice worked at Hoffman’s Ben Franklin store for six years. She then attended and graduated from American Floral Art School in Chicago. She owned and operated the Miracle Mile Liquor Store in Medford for a number of years. She retired from the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin.

 

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford.

 

Alice is survived by her brothers, Gerald (Lynette) Pernsteiner of Medford and Robert (Jill) Pernsteiner of Aiken, SC; her sister, Kathleen (Frank) Luterbach of Franklin, WI; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Pernsteiner of Medford and Darla Pernsteiner of Marshfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Lawrence, Sylvester, Willard, and Ralph Pernsteiner.

 

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford.  Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Wednesday at the church.
