TIME & PLACE OF SERVICES: 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 20 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford

 

OFFICIATING: Father Gerard Willger & Deacon Joe Stefancin

 

VISITATION: Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 4 to 7 PM on Monday, May 19 where there will be a 7:00 PM Catholic prayer service held that evening

 

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: March 13, 1955 at Marshfield, WI

 

EDUCATION: Holy Rosary Catholic School, Medford and was a 1973 graduate of Medford High School

 

MARRIAGE: August 21, 1976 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford to Valerie “Val” L. Wegerer and she survives

 

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After his education, he worked at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee, then Osmose Railroad of Madison for periods of time. He returned to Medford and worked at Deep Rock & Rudolph’s Standard for periods of time. Then he worked as a maintenance man for Memorial Hospital, Holy Rosary Catholic Church & School & the Medford Middle School until ill health forced his retirement. He was a firefighter for the Medford Fire Dept., a Taylor County E.M.T. & was a Deputy Coroner/Medical Examiner for periods of time. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren, fishing, hunting, golfing, playing cards, making fire wood & the outdoors.

 

MEMBER OF: Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford; Past member of Chelsea Bowmen’s Club & Tee-Hi Golf Club

 

SURVIVING SPOUSE: Valerie “Val” L. Viergutz of Medford

 

SURVIVING CHILDREN: Mandi Sue Viergutz of Madison & Jason “Eddie” (Marijane) Viergutz of Dorchester

 

# OF LIVING GRANDCHILDREN: 2 – Riley & Madeline Viergutz of Dorchester

 

SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: Jack (Pam) Viergutz of Medford & Shane (Jenn) Viergutz of Medford
