PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DEATH: 7:00 A.M. Thursday, March 20 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hope Hospice

 

TIME & PLACE OF SERVICES: Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 24 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville where full military honors will be performed by the Boxrucker-Berry American Legion Post #519, Stetsonville

 

OFFICIATING: Father Lourdu Mandapati

 

INTERMENT: Cremainal Inurnment will take place at a later date in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Stetsonville

 

VISITATION: 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 24 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville

 

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: March 5, 1928 in Sheboygan

 

EDUCATION: Attended Sawyer Dam Grade School and Medford High School

 

MARRIAGE: June 20, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville to Ardis B. Beyer

 

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1947. After his return from the service he worked in Milwaukee for Universal Construction until they returned to the Stetsonville area in 1962. They then owned and operated the former Jake’s Bar in Stetsonville now known as Les’s Bar . In 1966, he started driving truck for Jochimsen and Smith Inc. until his retirement in 1990. Les enjoyed hunting, bowling, fishing, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards.

 

MEMBER OF: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville, Boxrucker-Berry American Legion Post #519, Stetsonville

Volunteered for the Stetsonville Fire Department since 1962

 

SURVIVING SPOUSE: Ardis B. Clarkson of Stetsonville

 

SURVIVING BROTHERS: Roy (Elsie) Clarkson of Withee, Ervin Clarkson of Withee and Don (Eve) Clarkson of Medford
Sisters-In-Law: Gerry (Norb) Geiger of Dorchester and Kathy Beyer of Medford
Dear Friends: Tom (Sharon) Jochimsen of Medford
Also survived by Nieces and Nephews

 

DECEASED FATHER: Clarence “Dick” Clarkson

 

DECEASED MOTHER: Minnie Clarkson (Maiden Name: Paugel)

Les is also preceded in death by Sister-In-Law: Dorothy Clarkson and Brother-In-Law: Al Beyer

 

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Godchildren: Jeremy Jochimsen, Dan Beyer, Steve Geiger, Bruce Clarkson and Debbie Marr

 

OTHER INFORMATION: In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Les’s family to be designated at a later date.
