PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After her education, she did housework for various people in the Medford area until marriage. She helped Wally with the farm work until they sold the farm & moved to Medford in 1963. She crocheted, knit, embroidered, tied quilts for numerous people in the area & sewed many of her own, and also made rag rugs on a loom in her basement for over 25 years. She always had a large garden and did a lot of canning. She had a love for word search puzzles and playing Scrabble. She was a great cook and her children will always remember her dill pickles, pickled fish, pies & cinnamon rolls. They moved to Colby Retirement Community in 2010. Catherine was a loving mom and we have great memories of her through the years. She will be truly missed by her family. We would like to thank Leanne Oelrich and her staff at Colby Retirement Community for their loving care of our mom for the past four years, and especially during her final illness.
