 Gladwyn "Spud" F. Asleson, 89, of Medford passed away on Monday, February 17th at Memorial Nursing Home after receiving many months of in home support from his family.


Gladwyn was born on January 15th, 1925 in the Township of Goodrich.  He married his wife Flora (Blumenstein) on September 2, 1944 in Medford.   Gladwyn worked with teams of horses to farm and road construction in his younger years.  Late in life, he enjoyed part time jobs at Medford Motors and Potaczek Scrap Yard.  Gladwyn enjoyed spending time with his dogs, fishing, driving and the outdoors.


Gladwyn was preceded in death by his wife Flora Asleson, one sister and his parents.


He is survived by his two children...Jean Mueller of Medford and Gerald (Mary) Asleson of Janesville. One brother, William Asleson of Medford, three half siblings, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.


A private family memorial will be held this summer.  All condolences may be sent to Jean Mueller to be shared at the memorial.
