VISITATION: Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 16

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: March 19, 1922 in Superior, WI

EDUCATION: Flat Meadow Grade School, graduate of Medford High School, Taylor County Normal School, Medford and UW – Stevens Point with a teaching degree

MARRIAGE: September 1, 1956 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville to Steven J. Filipiak and he preceded her in death in September 1978

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: She taught at local schools for a couple of years and then middle school in Pewaukee for a period of time. She then was a secretary at Babcock and Wilcox Company in Milwaukee until her retirement in 1987. She then moved to Medford in 2008 to be closer to family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, quilting, and was an avid reader.

SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: Sister – Estelle Oldenberg of Medford; Brother – Jim Berger of Medford
