GENEVA “GEN” L. BARTOSZEWSKI

AGE: 79

PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DEATH: 8:12 A.M. Friday, November 1 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital where she had been a patient for the past 24 hours.

TIME & PLACE OF SERVICES: 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 5 at the Ogema Baptist Church, Ogema

OFFICIATING: Pastor Randy Price

INTERMENT: Hillside Cemetery in Ogema

VISITATION: 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 5 at the Ogema Baptists Church, Ogema

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: March 29, 1934 in Hannibal

EDUCATION: Attended Hannibal Graded School and was a 1952 Graduate of Hannibal High School where she was the Salutatorian.

MARRIAGE: June 20, 1953 at Hannibal Presbyterian Church to Alfred M. Bartoszewski

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After school, Geneva worked in Benton Harbor, Michigan for 1 year, came home and got married. She worked at a boat factory in Tomahawk in the fabrication department, at Larson Pallet in Ogema in production, the locker plant in Ogema and Great Northern Cabinets as a door sander. All during this time Geneva worked alongside her husband and owned and operated a small dairy farm. Geneva enjoyed reading, gardening and raising flowers. She pitched for the girls and boys high school baseball league while at Hannibal High School. Geneva pitched fast pitch softball for the Women’s Softball League in Ogema until the age of 53 years. She was also Ogema Centennial Queen in 1976.

MEMBER OF: Ogema Baptist Church, Ogema. Member of the Deaconess Board and taught Sunday School for 34 years. Sang in the church choir at Ogema Baptist Church

SURVIVING SPOUSE: Alfred M. Bartoszewski of Ogema

SURVIVING CHILDREN: Beverly (Terry) Younger of Ogema, Roger Bartoszewski of Ogema and Barbara (Brian) Kilty of Unity

LIVING GRANDCHILDREN 3; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN 5

SURVIVING SISTERS: Roberta Kuester of Rhinelander and Dolores (Raymond) Jaeger of Gilman
Sister-In-Law: Diane Mundell of Milwaukee

BROTHER/SISTER DECEASED: Gary Mundell and Gale Mundell Doris Anderson

DECEASED FATHER: Audree Mundell

DECEASED MOTHER: Opal Mundell (Maiden Name: Johnston)

PALLBEARERS: Terry Younger, Brian Kilty, Tim Floyd, Perry Anderson, Robert Peterson and Darrin Polzin

OTHER INFORMATION: In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Geneva’s family to be designated at a later date. Hemer Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake is assisting the family with arrangements.
