PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DEATH: 10:43 AM Friday, March 1 at Deerview Meadows Assisted Living, Medford where he had resided for the past 2 weeks, most recently under the care of Hope Hospice

TIME & PLACE OF SERVICES: 11:00 AM Monday, March 4 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford where there will also be military rites performed by the Medford Area Military Honors Team

OFFICIATING: Father Dennis Meulemans & Deacon Joe Stefancin

INTERMENT: Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Medford

VISITATION: Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 3 where there will be a combined prayer/rosary service held at 5:00 PM

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: February 27, 1926 at the Town of Little Black

EDUCATION: Elementary education at the Little Black State Graded School and was a 1944 graduate of Medford High School

MARRIAGE: August 13, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville to Agnes “Aggie” Cypher and she survives

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Served in US Army Signal Corps. from 1944 to 1946 in Vienna, Austria. After the service, he worked at Hurd Millwork in Medford for 26 years. Then he managed Peoples Choice Credit Union for a number of years until retirement in 1991. He enjoyed fishing & wood working.

MEMBER OF: Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford; Medford Council of the Knights of Columbus; Klossner-Dietzler VFW Club, Medford

SURVIVING SPOUSE: Agnes “Aggie” Pernsteiner of Medford

SURVIVING CHILDREN: Daughters – Sandra Halada of Ladysmith, Mary (Rick) Smith of Tomah, Nancy (Al) Higgins of Medford

CHILDREN DECEASED: Son – Norbert Pernsteiner in 1966; Son-in-law: Mark Halada in 2003
