PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DEATH: 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 23 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past 6 days, while being surrounded by her loving family.

TIME & PLACE OF FUNERAL: 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 28 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford

OFFICIATING: Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin

INTERMENT: Cremainal Inurnment will take place at a later date at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Medford

VISITATION: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, January 27 at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford where there will be a 7:00 P.M. Rosary/Prayer Service and also from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Monday, January 28 at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: May 19, 1931 in Medford

EDUCATION: Attended Medford Area Schools

MARRIAGE INFORMATION: June 5, 1948 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville to Robert L. Sperl and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2007.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: They farmed in Spencer from 1948-1955, then resided in the Town of Goodrich, and later moved to the Town of Chelsea. Mary was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed her cats, canning, cooking, gardening, fishing, camping, crocheting, watching the Minnesota Vikings and the BIG JOE Polka Show. She enjoyed reading medical articles and books. Mary enjoyed playing the dice game, "Chicken", where she was the “Judge!”

SURVIVING CHILDREN: 9 Sons: Ron (Karleen) of Stetsonville, Danny (Sue), Bruce, Ricky (Nancy), Tim (Brenda), Jim (Cheryl), and Billy (Michelle), all of Medford, Jeff (Gail) of Manitowoc, and Bobby (Gwen) of Abbotsford
2 Daughters: Nancy (Scott) Riegert of Dorchester and Sue (Tony) Rausch of Medford

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Daughter-In-Law: Harriet Sperl in 1996 and Infant Grandson: Jaden Sperl in 2004

GRANDCHILDREN: 33 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: 36

SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: 2 Brothers: Wally (Norma) Anderson and Russell (Cheryl) Anderson both of Medford
2 Sisters: Ruth (Charles) Peterson of Dorchester and Margaret (Frank) Murphy of Medford
Sister-In-Law: Rosie Anderson of Medford

DECEASED BROTHERS/SISTER: 3 Brothers: Paul, Carl and Chester Anderson
