Mary E. Feldbruegge, age 96, of Medford, passed away peacefully Saturday February 17, 2018 surrounded by her family at Country Gardens in Medford, under the tender care of Hope Hospice.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at St. Louis Catholic  Church in Dorchester.  Father Tim Oudenhoven will officiate.  Family and  friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.  Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Mary was born August 3, 1921, in the Town of Deer Creek, WI,  the daughter of the late George and Martha (Kania) Cypher.  She was united in marriage to Frank Feldbruegge on September 5, 1944 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville, WI.

Mary led a family centered life.  Nothing pleased her more than to have her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren surround her and for her to cook for them.  Her chicken was legendary, closely followed by her scalloped potatoes.  She was active for many years in the life of St. Louis Catholic Church.  During the last few years she resided at Aspirus Country Gardens.  She was an active bingo and dominoes player, yet still found time to crochet caps for newborns at the Aspirus Hospital.

Mary is survived by her nine children: Ginny (Peter) Strange, Aggie Cypher, Judy (Joe) Decker, Ann Amundson, Rich (Mary Ann) Feldbruegge, Jim Feldbruegge, Mary (Jerry Hedrick) Feldbruegge, Joe (Karla) Feldbruegge, and Gerard (Carla) Feldbruegge; nineteen grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister: Margaret Nikolai and many cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband;  and her four brothers: Walter, Sylvester, Anthony, and Gilbert.
