  Arlene B. Hoffman, 81, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Aspirus Care and Rehab in Medford. She was born on August 8, 1936 to Marvin and Lydia (Hoffmann) Krueger. She married Wayne Hoffman on October 22, 1960, he survives. She was educated at rural schools in the Rib Falls area. She worked most of her life as a homemaker.

  In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, beadwork, quilting, playing cards, doing word searches, and going out for ice cream.

  In addition to her husband, Arlene is survived by her children, Dawn (Ken) Matyka, Jill (Craig) Paul, and Scott Hoffman; grandchildren, Alex (Camille) Matyka, Reid Matyka, Eliza Matyka, Ryan Paul, Brett Paul, and Nevaeh Hoffman, and one great grandchild on the way. She is further survived by her brothers, Gary and Ronnie Krueger; sisters, Marilyn (Sylvester) Lipinksi, Donna (David) Weisenburger, Lorraine Hoeft, and Leila (Roger) Graveen. 

  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Russell and daughter Judy, both in infancy.

  Funeral services for Arlene will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Stetsonville, with Rev. Richard Russow officiating; burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.   

  Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 31 at Zion Lutheran Church from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00AM.
