VISITATION: 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 30 at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford


DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: January 17, 1929 at Cresco, Iowa


EDUCATION: Graduate of Medford High School


MARRIAGE: June 9, 1951 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford to Darlene L. Schindler and she preceded him in death on July 1, 2008.


PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After high school Rich worked for a private contractor for putting the poles in from Ashland on South. He then started at Taylor Electric as a lineman and worked there for 41 years until his retirement in 1985 as a Line Superintendant. Rich was a Stock Car Racer and also built a Mercedes. He loved building and flying airplanes, camping, boating and snowmobiling. He enjoyed traveling, his hunting trips out west and wintered in Texas.

PAST MEMBER: Knights of Columbus, Medford Lions Club and Stump Jumpers Snowmobile Club where he served as past president


SURVIVING CHILDREN: 5 Children: Michael (Lynn) Bruce (Marie) of Medford, Ann (Ron) Bohn of Stetsonville, Mark (Lori) of Medford and Patricia (Gerard “Giggs”) Mancl of Hewitt


SURVIVING GRANDCHILDREN: 8 & 5 Step-Grandchildren


GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: 6 & 1 Step-Great-Granddaughter


SURVIVING BROTHER: Donald (Donna) Albers of Medford
Sister-In-Law: Rosemary Schindler of Shorewood






DECEASED MOTHER: Anna M. Albers (Maiden Name: Grabo)
