Taylor County Lions & Lioness Maple Fest

From 8:00AM to 4:00PM

The Lions and Lioness Clubs of Taylor County come together to celebrate the values of our “state tree”, the sugar maple and showcase it’s prominence in Taylor County. On April 26th, 2014 at the Taylor County Fairgrounds, in Medford Wisconsin, located at the intersection of state highways 64 and 13, the Lions & Lioness, along with support from Wisconsin Department of Tourism, Taylor County Tourism and the Medford Hotel-Motel room tax, will be highlighting their second annual Taylor County Lions & Lioness Maple Fest. Pancake Breakfast: Jones Sausage & ham, with pancakes 8 AM-11 AM Vendor Exhibits with focus on Maple products. Service and Product exhibitors. Syryczuk Chainsaw sculpting-Door prize will be the finished sculpture Maple Syrup Judging Maple Baking & Cooking Contest Cooking with Maple demonstration Antique tractor & Equipment display Historical Museum: 9 AM- 3 PM Maple Syrup Production demonstrations: all day. “Little Red Wagon” parade by 4th thru 6th grade classes of Taylor County Children’s Face painting/Children’s Pedal Pull/Children’s Scavenger Hunt Youth archery demonstration & tournament Youth Photo Contest Bean Bag Tournament Maple flavored Root beer floats with Moosie’s Ice Cream Food Stand: Chicken & Pork with a touch of Maple; homemade French fries & deep fried cheese curds: 10 AM- 4 PM Beverage Stand: Wine, Beer, Soft drinks and perhaps a touch of Maple Flavor 300-Sugar Maple trees to be given away, while they last Door Prizes throughout the day Mr. Concertina: 9am-Noon & “The Wise Guys”: Noon-4pm Guest appearances: Onsite broadcast by Bob Bosold from WAXX 104.5 Pork Chop Jones: Jones Dairy Farms of Fort Atkinson WI “Maple Sausage” The Pine Line Marathon, 400 runners will compete and test their endurance

Clark County Spring Into The Arts Studio Tour

From 9:00AM to 6:00PM

Clark County Economic Development Corporation & Tourism Bureau is hosting the fourth annual Studio Art Tour on Saturday, April 26 from 9:00 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Studio Art Tour will feature many of Clark County’s finest artists and their creations. The self-guided tour meanders along the scenic country roads and through our quaint communities to the studios of painters, potters, woodworkers, metal workers, jewelers, weavers and more. Follow the map and discover where the artists live and work, view their processes and inspirations, and have the unique opportunity to purchase directly from the artist. We have 28 unique artists lined up for the tour this year at 15 different locations.
